She loves her Daddy!

When we got home from North Carolina, I was so excited to see Pat! Those few nights away from home were the first time we had been apart since getting married, and it was harder than I thought it would be. We got home not long before Pat would get off work and come home! I was looking forward to that homecoming, and it turns out I wasn't the only one!

Pat arrived home and it was absolutely wonderful to see him. Parting may be sweet sorrow, but it is sweet only in anticipation of the joy of reunion!! Kateri was awake . . . and as soon as she heard Pat's voice she was immediately more alert. Pat started talking to Kateri and as soon as she saw him, she was wreathed in smiles. She smiled and smiled and smiled, cooing and talking to Pat. She was really thrilled to see him and wanted to tell him about everything. It was very moving for Pat to see how his daughter loves him and is already longing for his love and affirmation!
