Of Birds Nests and Cake

Easter Sunday was absolutely beautiful! Kateri dressed up in a sweet little white dress with green sash given to her by Nanny and off we went to Mass. The Mass was beautiful, flowers were everywhere, and the music was spectacular. It moved me to tears and I truly felt that the gates of Heaven were opening with music that powerful. There was a full choir accompanied by the organ, brass (trumpets and euphonium, I believe) and drums. Amazing!!!

After Mass, Pat even had time to play some Madden! This was monumental as he had JUST received it before Lent and had given it up throughout Lent. Then we headed to the Wittmans for Part 1 of our Easter celebration! What a beautiful set up! and SO MUCH delicious food and wonderful company. The dessert table was particularly tantalizing . . .

And Libby made a beautiful gluten-free cake  . . .

But we had to eat all the other delicious food before we could dig in to the dessert table!

And of course we can't forget all the delicious drinks!! Or Miss Lucy with her infectious smile and joy!

Kateri behaved so well!
